Why SocRoc?

Founded by former All-American and professional soccer player James Christie, SocRoc is a family-run program built on one idea: kids play better when they’re having fun.

Every coach is handpicked and trained by Christie himself – and they bring the game with them from soccer cultures around the world: Italy, Argentina, Greece, Senegal, Colombia, Ecuador, Jamaica, Scotland, and more.

Every class is designed to be high-energy, age-appropriate, and genuinely fun. That approach has kept families coming back for over two decades.

Every SocRoc program is designed to build confidence, develop skills, and spark a lifelong love of sports. Whether your child is brand new to the game or ready for the next level, we have a program that fits.

Public Soccer Classes

Professional coaches, small groups, five seasons a year – in parks, playgrounds, and gyms across Manhattan. From first kicks at 15 months to real scrimmages at age 12, we'll match your kid to the right group.

Private Groups

Gather four or more kids, pick a location – your building, a park, a playground – and we'll send a coach. 1-on-1 and semi-private training also available.

After-School Programs

We bring SocRoc's coaching and curriculum directly to schools across NYC. Professional-led soccer sessions designed to fit your school's schedule, space, and age groups.

Birthday Parties

Make your child's next birthday unforgettable. We run 45- or 60-minute soccer parties at our permitted park locations or yours – indoors or out. $40/child, 10-kid minimum. We bring the soccer; you bring the cake.
